Review:

This midtower desktop computer comes in a color aside from glossy black. It has attractive case which as few touches that can make life much easier for those who want an upgrade. The Inspiron 620 comes in five attractive bezel colors and slim tower case. It performs as expected as it is powered by Intel Core i5 2130 CPU. However, it does not come with various day to day programs that provide Dell a significant challenge and lower resolution 3D gaming as well as basic video editing is within its reach.

When it comes to upgrades, users don’t have much to expect. Its 300 watt power supply limits you into budget graphics card and because it comes with only two RAM slots, you won’t be able to add extra memory without refusing the sticks which come with it. Even if there no room to improve performance, at least it offers some space for extra features.

It actually comes with spare, handily hard drive facing outward through a drive slot and two free 1X PCI Express fit for expansion cards. The hard drive expansion selections and cards are practical but users would wish also to get two extra memory stick slots.

If you don’t like the upgrade capability of this desktop, but you will surely appreciate its design touches which simplify the upgrades you can make. The centered plate folds down transversely the top of the overall line of expansion card brackets. This is a much better system than the others and is more secured compared to the individual screws.

The system has plenty of USB 2.0 jacks, DVI, VGA and HDMI video outputs on graphics card but to keep with the recent trends, you will enjoy only 5.1 analog audio jack support but without USB 3.0, FireWire, eSATA and other external data connectivity.

Overall, Dell Inspiron 620 is an excellent desktop. Design wise, it is the sleekest in the market for the price. The performance and upgrade may not be quite impressive compared to other laptops within the price range, but there are further functionalities packed in the Inspiron 620 that offers great user experience.
